Hailing from Kautokeino, ELLE MÁRJÁ EIRA has distinguished herself as a powerhouse, making her mark across international stages, in film scores, and through her cinematic ventures. Her accolades include winning the Arctic Talent in 2015 and receiving the GramArt scholarship in 2019. Her recent directorial venture includes the upcoming Netflix feature film, "Stolen".

Musically, Eira has a unique voice, mesmerizing audiences with her joik in the Sápmi language. She masterfully melds raw emotion and innovation, blending seamlessly with electronic and Indigenous rhythms. She is part of the Snoweye band alongside Lucy Parnell and the legendary John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin. Further, she has collaborated with renowned names like Christophe Beck for the film "The 12th Man" and has made a significant impact as a theatre composer at Sámi Našunálateáhter Beaivváš.

Beyond music, her direction and production skills shine in short films, music videos, and the NRK series. Eira's artistic influence isn't limited to one region; she has presented exhibitions, screened films, and performed concerts worldwide, from the USA to New Zealand.

Deeply rooted in her heritage, she hails from a reindeer herding family in Kautokeino's district 26 - Lákkonjárga, making her works deeply personal and culturally significant.
